My Story

A Personal Approach to Health. A Purpose-Driven Mission.

Welcome to my health empowerment practice. I'm Ginger Dean, a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with Full Practice Authority (FPA), specializing in Preventive Care utilizing Lifestyle Medicine.

We take a comprehensive approach to care, addressing the root causes of illness and disease. My journey into healthcare began with a pivotal experience when my daughter was hospitalized.

The doctors had no answers as to why her condition would continuously worsen. I felt helpless as I watched my child suffer and not get the answers she needed each night.

Amid worry and fear, I began researching and exploring alternative solutions that would support her healing. This moment marked the beginning of my commitment to understanding the root causes of illness.

I am forever grateful this was the catalyst prompting me to begin my healing career.

Why I Chose This Path

My journey into healthcare began during one of the most difficult moments of my life when my daughter was hospitalized at just five years old.

With no clear answers and her condition worsening, I found myself searching for solutions beyond what we were being told. I advocated, questioned, and pushed for a deeper understanding of her condition. That experience changed everything.

It was then I realized: There had to be another way to approach healing.

A Defining Moment

This transformation in the nursing field deepened in 2018 when my daughter was again facing serious health challenges. At the age of 23 she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Faced again with grim predictions about her condition, I refused to accept the narrative.

Through determination, faith, and a holistic approach which included a whole food plant-based diet, physical activity, many pillars of LM, and a dedicated neurological team, we were able to guide her back to health demonstrating the profound impact of lifestyle changes on health empowerment and well-being.

Beyond the Practice

I graduated with my Master’s in Nursing from Walden University in 2018, following my Bachelor’s from Governor State University in 2016.

Beyond my professional life, I am a licensed cosmetologist, a proud football grandma, I have six adult children and 13 grandchildren, and my husband and I are the esteemed founders of “Grandchildren’s Day,” an annual community celebration we host to honor family connections and our amazing offspring.

Because at the core of everything I do: Health is about people, purpose, and connection.
